C&H Taxi plans to launch a new booking app that will allow passengers to book a taxi on their Android cellphones.
Information from the trip request will go directly from the app to C&H's computer system, according to a news release from the cab company. The app will then keep the passenger updated on the status of their trip request — when it was assigned, which cab number to expect and where that cab is on a map.
"This is another major leap forward in improving our service," said CEO Jeb Corey.
The app will be available in the Google Play Store on Monday, for Android devices on Wednesday, and should be available for the iPhone by the end of the year.
