CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Airlines have canceled 19 flights heading in and out of Charleston's Yeager Airport on Monday due to the pending storm.
The airport posted the cancelations on its website Sunday. Most of them involve United Airlines flights.
Eleven of the canceled flights involve airports in Washington D.C. The other airports are in New York, Chicago and Houston.
Another United flight scheduled to leave Yeager Airport on Sunday night also was canceled.
A winter storm watch is posted in 14 southeastern and eastern counties with as much as 2 feet of snow possible on the highest ridge tops. Wind gusts up to 60 mph are likely Monday and Tuesday in eight eastern counties. Flooding also is possible in both panhandles and portions of northern West Virginia.
