Macy's Charleston Town Center store will be open around the clock for 65 hours, from 7 a.m. Friday through midnight on Sunday, the company announced.
Lisa McCracken, the shopping center's marketing director, said mall managers will meet with the store's management today to go over details about customer access to Macy's during hours the mall is typically closed.
McCracken said the mall's garages will be open to accommodate Macy's customers. "We definitely encourage Macy's customers to park in the Lee Street garage and enter through the Macy's entry doors on Lee Street or on the third level of the parking garage," she said. The doors on Lee Street are directly across from the Marriott.
"We do expect that Macy's glass doors that lead out into the mall's common area will be closed during those early morning hours," she said. "For example, the mall closes Friday at 11 p.m. and reopens Saturday at 7 a.m. and the mall closes at midnight on Saturday and reopens at 7 a.m. on Sunday. So we do expect Macy's glass doors that lead into the common area to be closed during those hours.
"We're open all day Sunday until midnight, just like Macy's. So we're only talking about eight hours Friday night to Saturday morning and seven hours from Saturday night to Sunday morning."Macy's said all of its stores nationwide will be open 65 hours straight this coming weekend, which is the weekend before Christmas. Some Macy's stores will be open even longer, although the Charleston Town Center store will not, said company spokesman Kamal Bosami.
