Little General stores donating to Toys for Tots
Little General Stores Inc. will donate $10,000 to the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign at a press conference with representatives of BP on Friday afternoon in Beckley.
But that's not all.
For every gallon of gasoline sold at its 94 stores on Friday, Little General Stores will donate one cent to the Toys for Tots campaign, said Brian Waugh, Little General's director of retail.
Little General figures Friday will be busier than usual because it is the beginning of the big Christmas holiday travel weekend. The company timed the event to generate more for Toys for Tots, Waugh said.
Three new businesses — Elk City Sales, Lee's Barber Shop and Upper Cutz — have opened in Dunbar, said Katherine McCormick, the city's business development consultant.

Elk City Sales is licensed to print West Virginia University T-shirts. The company also prints T-shirts for many local organizations.
Lee's Barber Shop, owned by Lee Barge, moved from Kanawha City to 335 12th St., McCormick said
Zac Cooper has opened Upper Cutz at 507-B Dunbar Ave. Cooper is a third-generation barber. His shop is in the same location his dad occupied for 10 years, McCormick said.
