There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. today at the Roxalana Grill, 2059 Roxalana Road, Dunbar.
The restaurant features unusual burger and pasta dishes.
Tim Davis, who grew up in Dunbar, is owner of the restaurant. Davis is a Charleston police officer.
Katherine McCormick, Dunbar's business development consultant, said Davis and his wife planned on starting a mobile food cart business for sales at festivals when they learned about the possibility of establishing the Roxalana Grill.
The restaurant is between Sweetbriar Assisted Living Center and Roxalana Apartments, in the building formerly occupied by Bada Bing Pizza & Subs. There is free off-street parking. The Roxalana Grill's phone number is 304-205-5472.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday.
