Restaurant manager Beverly Bellomy of McDonald's in Hurricane was honored last week with the Ray Kroc Award, given to only 141 restaurant managers across the country.
The award was established to honor the hardest working restaurant managers in the country, and with 13,000 McDonald's restaurants in the United States, it's rare to have a winner in the area, said company spokeswoman Emily Myers Duke. The award is named for the founder of McDonald's Corporation.
Bellomy was surprised in her restaurant by local owner/operators Fred and Andy Haughey, as well as Sandy Shuler, vice president of McDonald's Pittsburgh Region, and other regional executives. She received a trophy and ring, and gets a trip to Chicago for the National Ray Kroc Award Ceremony hosted by Jeff Stratton, president of McDonald's USA, LLC.
