Postage going up Jan. 27
The cost of mailing a First Class letter will increase one cent on Jan. 27, to 46 cents.
Also, the price for mailing a First Class postcard will increase by one cent, to 33 cents.

The U.S. Postal Service reported a $15.9 billion loss last year. It has cut its career workforce by 168,000 or 24 percent since 2006.
On Monday the Postal Service said its Board of Governors has ordered management to accelerate the restructure of operations to further reduce costs.
The Charleston Civic Center announced it is now open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in its newly remodeled first-floor lounge.
"Each month the Civic Center hopes to offer a themed cuisine prepared on Tuesdays by their in-house caterer, Distinctive Gourmet," the Civic Center said in a prepared statement.
The Tuesday lunch special in January: pulled pork or turkey barbeque sandwich, chips, slaw and a drink for $7. Healthy options such as wraps and salads also will be available.
There will be no charge for parking on Tuesdays for lunch patrons, said Anna Campbell, the Civic Center's sales director.
If your business received a 2012 Economic Census form, here's a reminder that they're due on Feb. 12.
The U.S. Census Bureau mailed more than 4 million forms to businesses from October through December. Of that total, 23,000 were mailed to West Virginia businesses, including 4,700 to businesses in the Charleston Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The Economic Census is the official five-year measure of American business. The census results serve as the foundation for the gross domestic product (GDP) and other indicators of economic performance. Many trade associations, economic development agencies and individual businesses also use the census statistics.
West Virginia Insurance Commissioner Michael Riley has published a five-page summary of significant insurance and workers' compensation legislation enacted by the 2012 Legislature.

Penske Truck Rental has announced its annual list of top moving destinations within the United States.
Atlanta tops the list for the third consecutive year. Dallas/FortWorth moved up from fourth in 2011 to second in 2012.
Other top 2012 designations, in order: Phoenix, Orlando, Houston, Denver, Seattle, Charlotte and Sarasota.
The list is based on requests for one-way moves, compiled through online consumer truck rental reservations and Penske's call centers.
