The Contact Lens Store at 5509 MacCorkle Ave. S.W. in South Charleston has re-opened.
It was reported in December that the store had closed and its business license had been terminated. On Wednesday Angel Smith said the store had closed for vacation and to reorganize.
Smith said her father, Chuck Walters, established the store 20 years ago. Walters died in October 2011. Smith said the company has been re-organized as a sole proprietorship and that Jerrold Smith, her husband, is now the owner.
"We're keeping the business in our family," she said.
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
