Workforce West Virginia provides public computer center
Workforce West Virginia has opened a new public computer center at its Ripley office.
Officials are encouraging individuals with limited or no access to Internet or high-speed computer service to use the new center, located at 206 Stone Drive in Ripley.
The center is designed to provide public access to resume preparation and online job search tools, as well as online classes and training. Students can also use the location to complete research papers and homework assignments.
The Ripley Workforce West Virginia office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The office is not open on weekends. Workforce West Virginia's public computer centers are funded by a grant from the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
