West Virginia University President Jim Clements has been named a member of the Business-Higher Education Forum, a national organization dedicated to creating innovative solutions to education and workforce challenges and issues of global competitiveness.
Other members of the organization include executives from Fortune 500 companies and leaders of several colleges and universities around the country.
Clements will join other members in attending the organization's annual winter meeting Thursday and Friday in Washington, D.C.
"The Business-Higher Education Forum is an extraordinary group, that goes beyond dialogue to truly work on projects that develop the workforces in our states and regions," Clements said in a statement.
"I am both humbled and excited to begin my service this week," he said.
