  • Yasuyuki Takezoe has been named the new general manager of accounting at the Diamond Electric Manufacturing Corp. plant in Eleanor.

    Takezoe, 38, joined Diamond Electric in July 2012, when he began working at the company's offices in Osaka, Japan.  He moved to West Virginia in January to assume the newly created accounting position. He lives with his wife and two children in Putnam County.



  • Ed Stike, senior vice president and financial advisor at RBC Wealth Management's Charleston office, has been ranked by Barron's Magazine as the top financial advisor in the state.

    Stike was included in the "Top 1,000 Financial Advisors" list in Barron's Feb. 18 issue. Nominees for the list are ranked according to several factors, including assets under management, revenue generated for their firms, quality of service and regulatory records.  



  • Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC attorney James A. Walls spoke to an international group of business professionals about natural gas regulations Thursday at the North American Regional Meeting of World Services Group in Washington, D.C.

    Walls spoke about transforming the North American natural gas market through an integrated regional strategy covering issues regarding exports, hydraulic fracturing and reducing greenhouse emissions.




  • The Arnold Agency has promoted Lauren Short to client services manager for the company's Montana office, where she will focus on the agency's public health work.

    Short had been working in client services for the company's Charleston office. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies and has been with the agency for five years.
