MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Rehabilitating taxiways is the top priority in the Eastern Regional Airport Authority's new capital improvements plan.
The five-year plan's second priority is acquiring private land abutting the airport's property that has direct access to the facility.
The Journal (http://bit.ly/10lpTNt ) reports that the Eastern Regional Airport Authority approved the plan this week. The Federal Aviation Administration must review and approve the plan.
Also listed in the plan is a noise capability study for the C-17 Globemaster transport planes. The planes will replace the West Virginia Air National Guard 167th Airlift Wing's C-5 Galaxy transports beginning in late 2014.
