TELECOMMUNICATIONS

* Ryan Bailey has been named new general manager of Frontier Communications' Charleston market.

Bailey, a Poca resident who most recently served as sales director for Netranom Communications in Hurricane, will oversee frontier operations in Jackson, Kanawha, Putnam and Roane counties.

Bailey, a former Glenville State College football player, lives in Poca with his two sons and serves as assistant football coach at Poca High School.

BANKING

* Regina Estep has been promoted to vice president and branch manager at Poca Valley Bank's Elkview branch. Estep has been with Poca Valley Bank for 16 years and has spent the last seven as assistant branch manager in Elkview.

Estep has completed the Advanced Consumer Lending and Advanced Branch Manager's Schools and earned four diplomas from the American Institute of Banking. Founded in 1908, Poca Valley Bank has total assets of more than $300 million and seven offices located in Kanawha, Putnam and Roane Counties.

EDUCATION

* Alex Hult has been named president of West Virginia Junior College's Charleston campus.

Hult is a retired Marine officer who previously managed the Marine Corps' Professional Military Education policies and Marine Corps University's graduate degree accreditation program. After working as chief operating officer for a defense contractor, Hult moved to West Virginia where he began working as Sissonville High School's JROTC Senior Marine Instructor.

College officials said Hult's hiring represents their commitment to improving both leadership development and soft skills for their students across their associate degree programs.
