CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Applebee's mobile restaurant will be selling food at the Winfield Elementary School ball field Saturday to raise funds for the Winfield Little League.
The mobile restaurant will sell Applebee's staples like boneless wings and mozzarella sticks from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Local Applebee's owner and operator National Hospitality Inc. is sponsoring the event. All proceeds will go to facilities maintenance and upgrades for the Little League.
"Supporting neighborhood kids' growth and development results in a better future for us all," said Terry McDonald, area director for Neighborhood Hospitality. "We believe in making a positive impact in our communities and are proud to partner with Winfield Little League."
Winfield Little League has served Putnam County youth for more than 40 years. In addition to mobile restaurant sales, NHI has hosted pancake breakfasts at area Applebee's restaurants and donated concession stand items to the league.
