The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced recipients of this year's West Virginia Small Business Week Awards.
The awards, which honor contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners, will be presented at a May 29 dinner in Morgantown.
The agency has named Diane Lewis, president and CEO of Action Facilities Management, Inc. in Monongalia County, as small businessperson of the year.
Also receiving honors: Engart America Inc. President Timothy Warden was named small business exporter of the year; Capon Springs and Farms Inc. was named the Jeffrey Butland Family-Owned Business of the Year; Mathew Thomas of Thomas | Work was named home-based business champion; and Small Business Development Center-Eastern Panhandle manager Christina Lundberg was named minority small business champion.
The agency also will honor the state's top small business lenders during the May 29 ceremony. First State Bank in Barboursville was named community bank of the year, while Huntington National Bank was named lender of the year.
