Lahoda Brothers marking first year with celebration
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Lahoda Brothers Auto Repair, a full-service automotive repair center in North Charleston, is celebrating one year in business with a combined grand opening and one-year anniversary celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Mayor Danny Jones will appear at a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.. It will be followed by a celebration with games, food and refreshments. Charlie Cooper will DJ the event, and prizes will be given away every 15 minutes.
Lahoda Brothers opened at 2650 7th Ave. last June. Donald Lahoda, owner and principal mechanic, said the location, with its six working bays, vehicle lifts and tire machines, has helped the business grow over the last year.
"It's a good time to finally take a break and enjoy our success with the community," he said.
In addition to the festivities, Lahoda Brothers will conduct state inspections at no cost from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday only.
The event is free and open to the public.
