CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Sleep Inn and Suites hotel in Cross Lanes has once again received the Choice Hotels International Hotel of the Year Award.
Owners Angela and Kelsey Harding received the award at the 59th annual Choice Hotels International Convention last week in Los Angeles. Choice Hotels International's Sleep Inn brand is one of the world's largest hotel companies.
"The Sleep Inn and Suites hotel of Cross Lanes has demonstrated a drive to be the very best, offering superior customer service and exceptional experiences for its guests," said Alexandra Jaritz, senior vice president of brand strategy and marketing for Choice Hotels International.
Officials said the 119-room hotel located near the Mardi Gras Casino was ahead of the pack in embracing the brand's "Designed to Dream" hotel refresh program, which was created to help offer guests an even more refreshing and restful stay.
This isn't the first time the hotel has been honored. It received the Hotel of the Year award in 2007 and, earlier this year, received the company's Platinum Hospitality Award."Many of our guests tell us this is their 'home away from home,'" Angela Harding said. "They love being greeted by our smiling, friendly staff and love the fact that they can count on having a stylish and comfortable room, a great breakfast and warm, unpretentious hospitality."
