TeleTech to close Moundsville center in September
MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. -- TeleTech plans to close its customer care center in Moundsville and lay off about 260 workers in September.
Company spokeswoman Jeanna Blatt tells media outlets that the decision is due to a decline in call volume, streamlined processes and clients' changing business needs.
Blatt says the company will provide separation pay and employment assistance to the center's workers.
TeleTech opened the center in 1998. It's scheduled to close on Sept. 20.
Marshall County Commissioner Brian Schambach says the county and the Regional Economic Development Partnership will do whatever they can to keep TeleTech in Moundsville.
