BLUEFIELD, Va. -- A closed bottling plant in Bluefield, Va., has been acquired by a West Virginia businessman.
Leland Blankenship bought the former Bluefield Beverage facility at a July 24 auction. The former owner, Kroger, closed the plant in April 2012.
Blankenship tells media outlets that he bought the building as an investment. He hopes to either sell or lease it to a company and create jobs in the area.
