United Bankshares CEO heads W.Va. Chamber
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Richard M. Adams, chairman and CEO of United Bankshares, is the new chairman of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
The state's largest business advocacy organization said Monday that Adams was elected at its recent annual meeting.
United Bankshares has 114 full service offices in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., with assets of $8.5 billion
Andrew Jordon of Pritchard Mining Company was elected vice chairman. John Canfield of State Farm Insurance is secretary and J. Randolph Cheetham of CSX Transportation is treasurer.
