PSC approves $50 million rate cut

By From staff reports

Appalachian and Wheeling power customers should see a 3-percent reduction in their monthly bill following a state Public Service Commission ruling in the companies' annual fuel cost review case.

On Aug. 30, the PSC granted a more than $50 million reduction in the companies' overall Expanded Net Energy Cost rates, which are adjusted annually to reflect changes in fuel and purchased power costs for state utilities.

The rates were effective Sept. 1.
