WESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Halliburton has announced it's pulling out of Lewis County and relocating all operations to its new facility in Zanesville, Ohio.
WBOY-TV (http://bit.ly/19lQDLV) says the company announced the final phases of the plan to employees this week and told them they would be offered positions in Ohio.
Spokeswoman Susie McMichael wouldn't say how many mployees will be unemployed or how many plan to accept work at other Halliburton locations.
She said some operations were shifted to Zanesville about three months ago. The cementing operation moved Tuesday.
Halliburton serves the oil and gas industry, and has other facilities in West Virginia.
It employs more than 75,000 employees in 80 countries.
