CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- MarkWest Energy Partners plans to expand its cryogenic gas processing complex in Doddridge County.
Denver-based MarkWest announced Thursday that it has completed fee-based agreements with Antero Resources to develop a fifth processing plant at the Sherwood complex.
MarkWest says in a news release that the new plant's processing capacity will be 200 million cubic feet per day. When completed, it will increase the Sherwood complex's total processing capacity to 1 billion cubic feet per day.
The new plant is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2014.
The complex currently has two plants. A third will begin operations by the end of the year and a fourth is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2014.
