Dominion Resources awards grant to WVU
Dominion Resources and the company's Dominion Foundation have awarded a $50,000 grant to West Virginia University's Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department to upgrade facilities at its Morgantown campus.
The funds will be used to update the Natural Gas Measurement Laboratory located in the Mineral Resources Building on WVU's Evansdale Campus.
Professor Sam Ameri, the department's chairman, said the improvements will help the school recruit high-quality students from across the nation.
"The partnership with Dominion has and will enable us to continue educating and graduating natural gas engineers of the highest quality from the WVU PNGE Department," Ameri said.
