Little General gets six W.Va. stores

By From staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Little General Store, Inc. has acquired Wilfong Food & Gas Sunoco Stores' six locations in north-central West Virginia.

The six Sunoco-branded stores, located in Clarksburg, White Hall, Farmington, Fairmont and Morgantown, were all transitioned to Little General stores during the first two weeks of December. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Brian Waugh, director of retail at Little General Store, said the company was excited about expanding operations in the area.

"All six of these locations have been known for providing quality customer service for many years," Waugh said. "We look forward to leveraging our strengths and operating capability to further expand the Little General business model by offering great prices in convenient places to the residents of north-central West Virginia."

The latest deal brings the number of stores Little General has acquired in the Clarksburg, Fairmont and Morgantown area this year to ten.

The Beckley-based company now operates 104 convenience stores and 14 restaurants in West Virginia, Virginia and Ohio.
