Arts Council to have 'Love Art' fundraiser
The Arts Council of Kanawha Valley will have its fundraiser, Love Art, from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Columbia Gas auditorium in Kanawha City.
The event features live music by the Liberty World Percussion Ensemble, Tofujitsu, the Bob Thompson Unit with Nicci Canada and Qiet; scenes from "Lend Me a Tenor" by the Kanawha Players; short films from the West Virginia International Film Festival; poetry by Granny Sue, Kent Shaw and Robert Wallace, dance instruction and a fine art exhibit from regional artists plus drinks and appetizers.
Tickets are $25 each or $45 per couple, available at artskv.org or Taylor Books.
