State Lottery Director John Musgrave announced Wednesday that singer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. would be playing a lottery-sponsored show at this year's State Fair.

"Landau is a Logan native that has won the hearts of fans across the country and made West Virginians proud of his accomplishments," Musgrave said. "He is also a caring individual who has dedicated significant time over the last year to helping his fellow West Virginians.

"We cannot be more pleased to team up with him and offer the chance for five lucky individuals a chance at cash prizes on stage with him at the State Fair.

As part of the "Dream Big" promotion, five lottery players will get the opportunity of a meet and greet with Murphy and a chance to win up to $10,000 in prizes at the concert.

From June 10 to July 22, lottery players who make a $10 Powerball purchase (5 plays or more on a single ticket) will be eligible to mail in any non-winning tickets to the Dream Big address to enter the contest.

The address will be advertised at the point of sale and also at www.wvlottery.com in the coming week, lottery spokeswoman Nikki Orcutt said.
