The West Virginia Division of Culture and History will unveil a new exhibit of calligraphic art inspired by poems written by West Virginians at 6 p.m. Monday.
The 31-piece collection features poems written by members of the Kanawha Valley Poets with corresponding calligraphic and three-dimensional art created by members of the Charleston and Huntington calligrapher's guild.
Visitors will see some of the tools used since medieval times including quills, pens and ink, demonstrations of techniques and a brief history of the writing form.
Admission is free and the exhibit will be on display through Veterans Day.
