CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Fayetteville Arts Coalition, formed in 2011 to support arts in the area, has scheduled a holiday celebration from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday in downtown Fayetteville.
More than 15 local artists will feature their work for sale, and items will range from paintings and jewelry to ceramics and photography.
Blacksmith Jeff Fetty from Spencer will be on hand with his metal work.
Food will be catered by the Secret Sandwich Society and local beer by Bridge Brew Works will be available. Local musician Ken Kruger will perform.
All donations and 20 percent of art proceeds will go to the arts coalition for its continued efforts to make Fayetteville a certified arts community.
The coalition is located at 103 Keller Avenue, above the Secret Sandwich Society. It schedules monthly First Friday art openings. This past October, the coalition commissioned Charleston artist Rob Cleland to paint a mural on Court Street. Most recently, it commissioned Fetty to create an outdoor sculpture and sign for the intersection of Court Street and Keller Avenue.
