"FDR" is part of the Marshall Artist Series and explores the life of one of the most influential American presidents and the events and decisions that shaped a nation. The play follows Roosevelt as he reflects on his years in office, from his inaugurations to the trials of World War II.
Asner is best known for his role as station director Lou Grant on the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" and its spin-off series, "Lou Grant." Additional TV roles include a recurring guest role on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and Captain Davies in the mini-series "Roots." His other New York City Theatre credits include "Ivanov," "The Tempest," "Face of a Hero," "King Henry V" and "Born Yesterday."
