Motown legend plays Huntington
Motown legend Smokey Robinson will bring his classic hits to Huntington with a performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center.
The concert is part of the Marshall Artists Series. Robinson shot to fame in 1960 with his group, The Miracles, which became the first vocal group on the future Motown Records label.
Robin was the chief songwriter for the group, penning tunes such as "Shop Around," You've Really Got A Hold on Me," "The Tracks of My Tears," "Tears of a Clown" and "I Second That Emotion."
He has received the Grammy Living Legend Award, NARAS Lifetime Achievement Award, an honorary doctorate from Howard University, the National Medal of Arts Award, and Kennedy Center honors. He has also been inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters' Hall of Fame.

Comedy troupe performing Saturday
Tickets are now available for the No Pants Players show at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Theater at the Clay Center.
The improv comedy troupe will present a Valentine's Weekend/Post Apocalypse show for mature audiences only.

Children's choir hosts fundraiser
The Appalachian Children's Choir presents its Rhapsody in Red Gala at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Charleston.
The evening features a full meal and wine, entertainment and a live and silent auction. The Sweet Lipzz Big Band will perform, and the choir will join them for a few selections.
Tickets are $150 for an individual or $1,500 for a table for 10. All donations are tax deductible except for the cost of food.

Valentine's event set at cabaret
Third Eye Cabaret hosts a "LOVE/HATE Valentine's Day" from 7 to 10 p.m. today.
The event features Christopher Harris (lead singer of Qiet), Sierra Ferrell, The BrotherSisters and other performers who will share pieces on rejection, dejection, love and renewal.
Admission is $3 at the door and includes a variety of snacks. A limited number of tables are available for $20 per couple (or two friends) and includes champagne, chocolate and a rose.
Alban presents 'Richard the Third'
The Alban Arts Center will present "Richard the Third" Feb. 22-24 and March 1-3 in St. Albans.
Performances are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
