The Salvation Army will have its Boys & Girls Clubs End of School Block Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in front of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs, 301 Tennessee Ave.
The annual event encourages adults to spend meaningful time with young people.
The block party will include food, prizes and many activities for parents and their children, ages 6-18.
Some of the activities include concert performances by the Coyotes in Boxes, Elevation Ministry and Charleston club member Antonio Easley. There will be a free tech-style hip-hop class, chess tournament, 3-point and free-throw contests, inflatables, face painting, games and vendor tables.
