Madison will celebrate the 20th annual West Virginia Coal Festival Tuesday through June 22. This year's theme will be "A celebration of coal and its heritage."
The Bellamy Brothers kick off the festivities on June 20, West Virginia Day. Howard and David Bellamy have been performing together since the 1970s.
Some of their most popular songs include "If I said you had a beautiful body (Would you hold it against me?)," "Dancing Cowboys," "Sugar Daddy," "You ain't just whistlin' Dixie," "Redneck Girl," "I need more of you," and "Reggae Cowboy."
They hold the record for the most nominations for the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association Awards. They have also received several Grammy Award nominations.
Other scheduled performers include Beatles tribute band Beatlemania Magic on June 21 and musician-comedian Cletus T. Judd and Dressed to Kill, a Kiss tribute band, June 22.
Activities will include a carnival, mine equipment displays, miner's memorial service, gospel concert, karaoke show, food vendors, coal museum tours, fireworks and more.
