LEWISBURG - A free summer concert series at Carnegie Hall's Ivy Terrace in Lewisburg continues at 6:30 p.m. July 25 with the band Mipso.
The group is rooted in the mountains of North Carolina and presents an old-school music combination of fiddle, mandolin, bass, guitar and four voices in close harmony. The group mixes bluegrass ingredients with a healthy dose of 21st century energy - the members all are May graduates from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They have produced a full-length album and have performed at sold-out concerts.
Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic meal and enjoy this summer tradition. Stuart's Smokehouse will be on site with refreshments for purchase.
The series continues Aug. 8 with Colton Pack Band and Aug. 22 with Washington Street Strutters.
