The exhibit "Arthur Siegel's Photographs from the Home Front - May/June 1943" opens with a reception at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Point Pleasant River Museum.
The exhibit includes 20 black-and-white photographs taken in Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, and the vicinity as part of the federal Farm Security Project. Eight of the photographs are also featured in the book, "New Deal Photographs of West Virginia, 1934-1943."
The opening of the exhibit honors the 100th anniversary of Siegel's birth. The show will run until Sept. 29. For more information, contact the museum at 304-674-0144.
