Photos: Crowds gear up for Shifty Fifties Car Show
Crowds gathered for a stroll down memory lane to the strains from the early days of rock from the 1950s and 1960s.
Proud owners showed off what was under the hoods of their vintage cars, along with a little history their vehicles. This 1951 Fleetline DeLuxe, bottom right, boasted an in-line six cylinder engine with dual carburetors that produced 92 horsepower.
A close look at some of the cars offered remarkable details, such as the Mayflower ship hood ornament that graced this 1934 Plymouth LWB sedan, bottom left, owned by Debby and Carroll Bowd of South Charleston.
