The West Virginia Symphony pays tribute to the state's 150th birthday with conductor Grant Cooper's composition, "On the Appalachian Trail," featuring an accompanying visual show of several hundred photos from around the state
"The concert will be a feast for the eyes and ears, celebrating our West Virginia heritage and history," Cooper said in a prepared release.
The program includes Paulus' Concerto for Two Trumpets & Orchestra, with guest trumpeters Vincent DiMartino and Rex Richardson, and Debussy's Prelude to Afternoon of a Faun.
