The Charleston Light Opera Guild's performance of "Les Miserables" continues Friday through Sunday at the Clay Center.
The shows will take place 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday
The guild's production of the Tony-Award-winning musical brought eager actors from far and wide because it is the first time rights became available to amateur theater companies. More than 180 people auditioned and the show's cast includes dozens of stage veterans.
First published in 1862, Victor Hugo's original story follows the lives and interactions of several characters and focuses on the struggles of an ex-convict and his quest for redemption.
Tickets are $25 and available at www.theclaycenter.org or by calling 304-561-3570.
