Throughout January, a variety of musical acts will perform at the Bluegrass Kitchen.
Tonight, Jeffrey Thomasson will play ambient finger-style guitar at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Born Old will play "old-timey" and bluegrass music at 7 p.m. The duo consists of West Virginia natives Doug Van Gundy on fiddle, guitar, mandolin, harmonica and vocals; and Paul Gartner on banjo, guitar, fiddle and vocals. The two have been playing together for 15 years and have performed with artists such as the Avett Brothers and Bettye LaVette.
Tuesday, Blue Yonder will play an acoustic mix of country, honky-tonk and folk at 6:30 p.m. The group includes John Lilly on vocals and guitar, Robert Shafer on guitar and Will Carter on bass. The group has played on Mountain Stage and its musicians have won national awards.
