Team serves up competition
The 2.5 women's team from the Charleston Tennis Club is in Palm Springs, Calif., today to begin the U.S. Tennis Association's 2.5 National Championships. They are the best of the beginners, 2.5 being the beginner ranking for tournament play. Maddie Mayo, at 23 the youngest member of the team, played tennis off and on as a child and picked it up again more seriously about a year ago.
