The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department will host several free food safety classes for its fall 2013-spring 2014 term.
Classes, which are available online and in a classroom, teach people how to safely handle, prepare and serve food.
The free four-hour class includes materials, an examination and a completion certificate, according to a news release from the department.
All classes are from 8 a.m. to noon on the following days: Nov. 7, Dec. 9, Jan. 7, Feb. 5, March 3 and April 14.
