CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Charleston Daily Mail will be stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey Thursday -- stuffed with deals, that is.
Most area retailers plan to kick off their annual Black Friday sales a day early this year due to a compressed holiday schedule. As a result, Thursday's paper will be chock full of advertisements and inserts promoting the retail fete.
The Thursday edition of the Daily Mail will be loaded with 44 promotional inserts -- the greatest number of inserts on record for Charleston Newspapers.
Weighing in at 4.6 pounds, the inserts contain 844 pages detailing various sales and promotions at retailers across the region.
You'll also get a regular, four-section Daily Mail newspaper to go with it.

Those doors will be busting open a lot earlier this year, with sales kicking off at various times throughout the day. Most retailers advertising in Thursday's paper will be open by 8 p.m., though some will open at 6 p.m.
The majority of stores are planning special in-store promotions at various times throughout Thursday and Friday in order to drive holiday shopper traffic.
The extra promotions and earlier hours are a function of the shortened holiday shopping season this year.
Instead of the 31 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year, retailer get just 25 days this year. The abbreviated season cut the total number of shopping weekends -- when most people hit the stores -- from five to four.
As a result, retailers are more focused on promotions and gimmicks to drive traffic this year compared to years past.
