Charleston firm to offer web services to nonprofit groups

By From staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Bricks Without Straw, a Charleston-based Internet marketing and website design firm, plans to begin offering free web design services to the state's nonprofit community.

The company has established the Frank Brown Community Partnership, a program that will offer free web design services to a state community nonprofit organization in need of assistance.

Bricks Without Straw President Jamie Summers said the company would select one West Virginia-based charity each year to receive free website services for the entire year.

"Continuing in the loving and generous spirit of my grandfather, Frank Brown, our community partnership seeks to help charitable organizations with technology services to provide them a portal to the world to help them achieve their worthwhile mission," Summers said.

Services will include either initial website design and development, or redevelopment of an existing brand and website.

Qualifying nonprofits must be approved by the state and have offices or headquarters in the state. Applications can be found online at and must be received no later than Dec. 31.   For additional information, call Summers at 304-807-9674 or visit
