New trial date set for Morgantown teen slaying suspect
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The trial of a West Virginia teenager charged with the fatal stabbing of her one-time best friend has been rescheduled.
Eighteen-year-old Shelia Eddy's trial originally was set for Feb. 11.
Media outlets report that Monongalia County Circuit Court Judge Russell Clawges recently rescheduled the trial for Jan. 28.
Eddy is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and conspiracy in the July 2012 slaying of 16-year-old Skylar Neese.
Co-defendant Rachel Shoaf is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in May.
Prosecutors say Eddy and Shoaf lured Neese out of her Star City apartment last summer, stabbed her and hid her body under some branches.
Neese's remains were found in January in a secluded spot in Wayne Township, Pa.
