Water company says samples now testing clear

By From staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, West Virginia American Water announced current test results showed no detectable amount of 4-methylcyclohexanemethanol, or crude MHCM, entering its water treatment facility on the Elk River.

West Virginia American Water officials said test results showed a level of zero parts per million for MCHM.

Much of the West Virginia American Water system remains under a "do not use" order as flushing of the system continues.
