INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- West Virginia State University will offer a master's degree in multicultural instructional leadership starting in the spring semester.
The school in Institute says the program will provide opportunities for graduate study and research for certified teachers. It will focus on teaching in school districts with high concentrations of minority students or those from poverty backgrounds.
The program is designed to be completed within six semesters. Among the requirements for candidates are a bachelor's degree with an overall grade-point average of at least 2.75 and three years of public school experience.
The application deadline for the spring semester is Nov. 15.
