Class being offered for Alzheimer's caregivers

The Alzheimer's Association West Virginia Chapter is offering a free community workshop as part of a 6-week Caregiver Class sponsored by the PalliativeCare Center.

The one-hour workshop is for caregivers and others interested in information regarding The Basics of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. The workshop will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hansford Senior Center, located at 500 Washington Street in Saint Albans. 

The workshop is an introduction to the fundamentals of Alzheimer's disease and is designed to help families and caregivers gain a better understanding of Alzheimer's disease, warning signs, diagnosis and the latest information in research. The workshop is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
