Five to graduate from Kanawha drug court
Five individuals will graduate from the Kanawha County adult drug court program at 3 p.m. Thursday in ceremonies held at the Kanawha County Courthouse.
Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey is the presiding judge of the adult drug court, which was established in 2009. The program has graduated 28 other participants. The goal of drug court is to help them overcome addictions that led them to commit crimes, improving the quality of life for them and their families. In the program, they receive treatment and other services in lieu of going through traditional justice system case processing.
