Black ice on the roads this morning, making travel treacherous

By From staff reports

Officials are advising morning drivers to use caution because of slick spots on exposed surfaces such as bridges and overpasses because of freezing drizzle.

A similar warning was in effect until midnight Monday.

The National Weather Service said early morning temperatures would hover about 32 degrees in southern West Virginia this morning, resulting in the freezing drizzle before finally warming up to simply rainy conditions.
