Emergency crews responded to several accidents as well as a rock slide in the wake of Wednesday morning's rain.
A rock slide shut one lane of Edens Fork Road near Interstate 77 about 6:30 a.m., a Kanawha County dispatcher said. Workers with the West Virginia Department of Highways were on the scene clearing the road.
Several accidents were reported on the rain slick roads, including two with injuries, the dispatcher said.
A two-vehicle wreck was reported at 7:17 a.m. at the intersection of Rock Lake Drive and MacCorkle Avenue with one person transported to an area hospital.
At 7:56 a.m. a two-vehicle accident was reported 940 Jefferson Road in South Charleston with one person transported to an area hospital.A three-vehicle wreck involving a rear end collision occurred at 8:35 a.m. on the Interstate 64 Bridge near Oakwood Road. No injuries were reported.
